VDBOT

On large construction sites such as shopping centers, parking structures, or hospitals, multiple trades need to carry out a high number of drillings in concrete ceilings. The reason for this is that systems such as ventilation, air conditioning, sprinkler installations, and electrical wiring must be installed or mounted overhead.

Performing these drillings is a monotonous and repetitive task that involves significant physical strain. I believe that human-robot collaboration is the answer to this challenge, as robots can perform repetitive tasks with consistent precision and without fatigue. I do not see the robot as a replacement for workers, but rather as a collaborative partner.

VDBOT is a robot equipped with a rotary hammer drill. Vacuum technology enables the robot to operate on walls and ceilings against gravity.
